This policy explains which personal data we process when you visit this website, download or use TabTrunk, or contact us, and which rights you have under Swiss law (revised Federal Act on Data Protection, revFADP), European law (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and U.S. state law, in particular the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA.

2. What this website does not do
No cookies are set. No analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks or social media plugins are used. Fonts and scripts are served from our own server.
3. Server log files
Our hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. automatically processes technical data your browser transmits when you open this website or download the app: IP address, date and time, page or file requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, Art. 31 revFADP). Cloudflare may process data in the United States; transfers are based on the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
4. The TabTrunk app
TabTrunk runs on your Mac. The tabs you put in the trunk, the page text it keeps for search, your notes, reminders, topics and the context you give it are stored in a library on your Mac. TabTrunk has no server and no account; we receive none of this data.
Topics, summaries, search by meaning and chat use the Apple Intelligence model built into your Mac. If you connect Claude or ChatGPT, the app passes only what you ask about to that provider through your own subscription and under that provider's terms; you decide when.
When you put tabs in the trunk with "keep page text" switched on, the app fetches the page text from the websites you had open, with your Mac's own internet connection, in the same way your browser did. Those websites see your IP address as before.
The app contacts no other server and sends no usage statistics or crash reports.
5. Contact by email
When you write to us by email, we process your name, email address and your message to answer you (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b and f GDPR). We keep correspondence as long as needed to answer and as required by law.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and data portability. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing; we do not sell or share personal information. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Switzerland with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
7. Changes
We may update this policy when the website, the app or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page.
